Insert custom fields for users
Discover how to create and manage custom text fields in Nibol, optimizing communication and information organization within your team.
Use Custom Fields to create tailored text fields, adaptable to the specific information needs of your team.
What is it about?
Custom fields are additional text spaces that the administrator can define and assign to user profiles. These fields can be used to collect important information, such as:
Personal Information: Allergies, emergency contacts, telephone numbers.
Company Information: Printer PINs, access codes.
Notes: Internal annotations.
As an administrator, you have full control over who can view and modify these fields:
Visibility: You can choose whether the information is visible only to administrators or shared with all colleagues
Editability: You can decide if the fields can only be modified by administrators or even by individual users.
Create a custom field
To create custom fields, follow these simple steps:
Log in to your Nibol account on app.nibol.com.
Go to the Settings > People section and select Custom fields.
Create a new field by clicking on the “Add Field” button at the top right, then define the name, visibility, editability and whether you want this data to be included in the present list.
Add
From now on, each user will be able to see their personalized field in the Profile section of their account settings.
How to fill in a custom field
If you've given users the option to edit the custom field, they'll find the text space of the field editable, otherwise they'll only be able to view it
If the custom field is editable by the administrator - either exclusively or not - as an administrator, you can fill in this field within the Directory/User List. Just click on the 'Edit' button, next to each user, and then enter the 'Custom Fields' sub-section. Finally Save!
